Complimenten! Leuk dat ik Redmond's 'favourite scientist' ben! Doe hem en allen de groeten! Hij is absoluut mijn favoriete presentator/mediator van de serie! Tot spoedig ziens somewhere!

    Dear Beagles,

Listening to the words of Captain Andi in this video, I think you could re-sail the voyage of Captain Henry Hudson with the Halve Maen to discover more about the ice today. Hudson tried to find a passage to the East Indies four times. In 1607 trying cross the north pole in the north-west until he was stopped by the ice, in 1608 sailing north-east around Norway until he was stopped by the ice again near Novaya Zemlya, in 1609 initially trying for a north-east passage again until he decided to head west and ended up on New york's Hudson River before sailing home again, and in 1610-1611 when he sailed north of Canada all the way to James Bay and got stuck in the ice. The sail of 1609 was the one with one with the Dutch sailing vessel Half Moon. A replica of this sailing vessel is also sailing the Hudson River today, but to sail across the ocean has to be done by another vessel today. Lets say at least a clipper.
Maybe an idea I wanted to share with you

    Fair Winds,
