Expeditie Wilkes Land: Weekverslag 2
De Utrechtse paleoklimatoloog Henk Brinkhuis vertrok op 8 januari aan boord van het boorschip Joides Resolution naar Antarctica. Daar zal een team van wetenschappers uniek onderzoek doen naar de geschiedenis van het Antarctisch klimaat. Henk komt in Perth aan boord van de Clipper Stad Amsterdam. De komende tijd blogt hij op de Beagle-site over reis en onderzoek.

Wonderful that Beagle is also giving more information about other important scientific projects that are going on in the world at the moment. The Wilkes Land Expedition sounds like a most interesting one. Antarctica as a "hot spot" for climate change once again. So good luck to all the scientists on board the ship. I most certainly like the penguin gang with all their comments about what is going on. Are you also doing a children's program with them? If not, they also do a great job for the bigger children and this is about their home as well as ours. Looking forwatd to your next report and finding out more about the work that you are doing, as well as the results.
