what was the name of the bird?
Dear Mr O''Hanlon,
Its good to see, that you are back on the Beagle.
Thank you for your beautiful story.
You told it on such a wonderful way.
Warm greetings Hetty
I have been in the amazone-area, i can imagine the moist heat, the bright sounds, the slow yellow light.
It is easy for us to say " dont do this or that" we, in europe, used up our trees as well.It , amongst other things, has b(r)ought us a very quiet and safe surrounding. I try to imagine a brazil the same way.
If you are concerned about the possible extinction of "interesting" diseases, i think they can cope just fine :P.
I love the sentence " you cant expect it to love you. . . .. "
(except for the possible foodsource you are )
Dear Redmond,
You know I like the jungle it's really wonderful!
You're right that is dangerous, you should always get your injections.
I have seen the most beautiful birds and countless butterflies with large dark eyes in the jungle of Perú and México.
Look forward to the upcoming broadcast. I can't wait. Love, Regina.
Dear Redmond
The front page of The Independent - Rainforest treaty totally flawed.
Apparently the present text for Copenhagen allows countries to cut down rainforest , replace it with monoculture palm oil plantations , and get a CREDIT for saving forests !
The real fraud is that existing & future EU policy sets out increasing the so called bio element of motor fuels which creates the demand for monoculture crops in the first place. You could not make this stuff up !
No doubt the full article is on line.
Best regards
Dear Mr. O'Hanlon,
Hear, hear! Rainforests should survive not just because of biodeversity or because they are a unique habitat. Even if scientific facts and observation would not prove these points, there are parts of the natural world that human civilisation simply cannot do without. We as a species need the faraway, the unknown, the primeval. Because they fire the imagination. Because they offer us a fascinating environment and unique insights. Because they are the making of the likes of you.Thank you for making that abundantly clear.
Ever since the first book of his I read, mr O'Hanlon has been a favourite of mine. I'm glad he is back and I hope he'll treat us to many more of his colourful descriptions and his insights.
Interessant verhaal, maar video qua belichting niet optimaal door
de lichte achtergrond.
